The founding team behind BankFox is a group of personal finance junkies and tech types who were friends before the company was born. We came up with the idea in late 2008, when the financial crisis began sparking conversations among us and our friends about banks behaving badly. It was amazing how many of us had personal stories of frustration with banks and realized that there was a need for a service to help people better watch and choose their financial institutions. We decided to spend the cold Boston winter locked indoors building the beginnings of the service, and we first started letting our friends access BankFox in April 2009. Although weve started to show off the site, we’re just getting started launching features and working out the kinks, so for now please excuse the site’s sparseness and any egregious bugs. Despite its basic state, we hope you still find BankFox useful, and would love to hear any feedback.
